Designed Around the Architecture
Set in the Ancala neighborhood of Scottsdale, this kitchen was designed to work with an already unique modern floor plan while keeping the existing flooring in place. Instead of trying to change the architecture, the goal was to enhance what was there, bringing a more refined, elevated feel to the space through thoughtful design and material choices.
The kitchen centers around a fully handleless layout, creating a clean and uninterrupted look. Appliances are fully integrated into the cabinetry, allowing everything to blend seamlessly and keeping the space feeling calm and uncluttered.
Texture, Warmth & Function
One of the most special elements is the use of a subtle embossed geometric finish. It adds just the right amount of texture—something you notice more over time—especially as the light shifts throughout the day. It brings warmth and depth without taking away from the simplicity of the overall design.
The oversized island acts as both a gathering place and the focal point of the room. Its clean lines and waterfall edges give it a strong presence, while still feeling inviting and functional for everyday use. The soft mix of warm taupes, natural tones, and stone was carefully chosen to tie in with the existing flooring, creating a cohesive flow throughout the space.
Under-cabinet lighting adds a gentle glow, highlighting the materials and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The end result is a kitchen that feels modern yet comfortable—simple, intentional, and designed to be lived in.
